Stress Management

Stress is an inevitable part of one’s life and cannot be avoided. But we can avoid negative reactions to stress. However, stress is not always a bad thing. Moderate levels of stress can increase effort, stimulate creativity and encourage diligence in one’s work. But, excessively high levels of stress can overload and breakdown a person’s physical and mental system.

Unmanaged or ignored stress can lead to adverse mental and physical effects, behavioral changes, and relational distress.
Stress management is important in everyone’s life. It involves understanding the causes of our stress and finding strategies to effectively deal with, reduce, or eliminate the stress.

Stress management may involve the following:

- Identify causes of stress
- How to minimise their effect over time
- Stress reducing techniques
- Coping strategies
- Managing any kind of stress
- Deep breathing
- Time management
- Positivity
- Relaxation techniques, among the many.
- Work-life balance
